    >>I believe this is because you, and also Bagua, do not know what you really want. When you find out what it is that you want, you will probably stop the continuous arguing you both have been doing in all your conversations in order to get somewhere and you will be finished. Maybe, you are afraid of finishing.<<

*I am learning alot from Bagua. It excites me to no end. This discussion had a beginning and will have an end. I am contemplating alot of what Bagua said and many peices of the puzzle that were lost are now found, I'm just learning to put them together. I hope I get an interesting message from it.

Michael just began the preliminaries in round 7 and maybe as he, Max, Singing Ocean, and Bagua continue, we'll all get cooked somewhere there like Michael said. I'm just so absorbed in it! What a thrill!

    Smiles,

    Hi alexander:

Im glad you could shed some light on our discussions.

The Healing Tao, from its origin has always promoted a free exchange of ideas. Particularly the last months have braught a clarity to often ambigous concepts, words and models, if one is sharp enough to put all the pieces together, what has been so vague becomes, has became clearer and relevant in taoist cultivation.

Dont mistake arguing for lively debate, healthy exchange and meaningful interaction. I know of no better forum for this type of topic.

    Hello Bagua and Fajin,
While discussion sometimes brings a transmission or exchange of helpful information and energies that can deepen one’s cultivation, I find most of it to be a distraction and coming from unfulfilled needs that will not be fulfilled no matter how much you talk. The way you carry on your conversations reads (to me) more like an argument you cannot stop which has emotional roots. I felt the urge to point this out, that is why I wrote.
I avoid participating in these discussions because it most often sounds to me like “the little mind” talking to itself and not getting anywhere. (It doesn’t really matter whether we finally decide what ego or wuji really are. Knowing what these things do for you is the point and that comes through contemplation which is silent, even if one is speaking.) It also sounds very “male” and confrontational instead of relational. I think it is counterproductive, predominately mental and imbalanced to spend so much time in “lively debate,” and wish to insert this idea energy into this conversation to open up new pathways. Why debate?
If we understand that chi is love and wholeness is the end, why bother to banter?
    In love, Alexander

PS to Fajin: If you argue with me on this you will prove my point.

    *This reveals ignorance.

I read something somewhere that those things we point out in other people as being “unattractive” traits, are simply traits we ourselves possess. Sort of takes me back to that childhood retort of “It takes one to know one!!” (I am thinking maybe Eckhart Tolle…)

I think all of the points raised have some merit. I think the exchange of ideas is good but that always balance should be kept as it is very easy to be stuck in discussing the ideas rather than implementing them and making them real.

From a personal perspective, I don’t post too often but that is only because by the time I get back from work and do the things I need to do to ensure my house is tidy and I am fed, I don’t really want to expend too much time and energy posting. Sometimes I might think “Wow! These people spend a lot of time on line posting” but then I realise that I don’t know your life, so who am I to say what is a reasonable time frame or not.

I will only speak from my personal experience and that is that in a lot of ways I find these discussions a bit difficult to follow. Sometimes I feel a bit “stupid” when I read them because I don’t get it…but I get over it! Maybe in time these things will make better sense to me. Maybe I know exactly what you are talking about but I just use different terms…

Who knows? <– probably none of us!

    Keep on truckin'.
