    Had an interesting experience bringing
back the bone beater on the plane. The
mack truck of a security guard called
me over and asked if he could open the
    wrapping and take a look, “what’s a
girl like you doing carrying a machete?”
I laughed and told him it was a bone
    beater, the other security misunderstood
and said “what a wife beater!”. It ended
up that I had 4 security guards beating
on their bones and saying “this feels
goooood”, then they rewrapped it up for
me very nicely, handed it back and sent
me on my way. Thanks for all your help
and advice, I am so glad I was able to
attend the retreat, but am excited to be
practicing alone again and see what has
    changed.

    hugs,
    Adel

    Hi Adel,

    That’s hilarious!!!
Michael would be amused to hear about that.
I’ll have to mention it to him, if he doesn’t first read your post.

I’m glad you had a great time here ^_^

You’ll have to come back again sometime . . .

Hopefully your time here will give you some good inspiration and
food for future personal practice, and that the insects
won’t drive you too crazy. 🙂

    Warm wishes,
    Steven

I forgot to explain that the
    bone beater had looked like
a machete on the xray machine
    screen. I am already planning
on how to schedule my spending
in order to save for next year.
I bought a lot this time but I
want to slowly start the fusion
practices so all is good investment
(I don’t buy clothes or anything
    anymore, just chi kung stuff…..).

The bugs are ok so far but I had
to get a huge crab out of the
washing machine duct today at home.

    many thanks,
    Adel

    I bet the crab was happy to see you;
    a personal welcome home perhaps?

In regard to saving, what I do, is I have a separate savings account
called “Healing Tao”, which I add extra funds to
on a semi-regular basis (sort of like a “Christmas” fund),
so that I then have a reserve saved up for summer retreat fun.
I do the same thing to save for my yearly winter hermit retreat.

    Qi,
    Steven
