    Hello,

I had an interesting experience in boundaries
the other day at work. A client came in and
immediately latched onto me. Her appearance
reminded me of a female version of Clark Kent,
huge thick rimmed glasses and all. She began
asking me questions regarding all aspects of
    our business (while taking notes).

Asking about all policies: organic, social,
the chemical processes that take place in our
product (Describe what a flavenoid tastes like?),
and beyond. She had zero common sense and a huge
    need for facts.

6 months ago I would have had a lot of trouble
dealing with this type of situation. Intellectuals
without common sense drive me crazy.

    This time
was different. I looked right into her eyes and
began guiding her thru. We sat down and calmly
talked, she tried a few different items. She
left thanking me for taking the time and even
    made a purchase.

I finished the day went home, took a bath, ate
dinner and totally forgot about her. Then later
I realized that I had forgotten about her, prev-
iously I would have been agonizing for hours
after such an encounter. “Oh, I should of said
this, or that wasn’t right, this reply would of
been better etc….”. I realized that my boundaries
have changed, it used to be a wall behind which I
would hide and feint but this time I didn’t even
feel the boundary. I was able to really look at
her, understand what she needed, and in the
process I ended up liking her too. All of my
answers were factual (thanks to the hardcore
studying I’ve been doing) and fluid enough to
guide us to a satisfactory finish.

I feel bigger, wider, free and protected at
    the same time.
