Michael Winn replied to the topic Seated Nei kung vs Standing Chi Kung in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago

The movement forms are either designed to open a channel without using head “visualizations” or to prevent stagnant jing which eventually happens from sitting too much. They are not designed to replace sitting medition, but to balance it. Its ultimately the balance between post natal and pre natal chi.

I cannot tell you how many zen…[Read more]

Your process is essentially correct; the only thing I would add is communicate the process to the five shen, and invite them to collectively do the practice for you, rather than thinking the visual command is sufficient. “You” are speaking from the vantage of your core self beyond/deeper than them – a temporary approximation of your inner…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic question to long time practitioners: How much sleep do you need each night? in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago

Doing mantras on the exhale is a good practice, i did it for years,
part of my kundalini training. And it does reduce sleep time, I dropped to four horus. But you do have to convert that extra saved time to practice.

Silent Mantra sends a particuilar shape/request into the pre-natal chi field, and produces a repsonse, the potential seeds in…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic Michael: How much importance do you give to nutrition for cultivation? in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago

Just investigate chinese medicine definition of cold and damp syndromes, and you will find out why soy milk is not a good regular in your diet.

I’ve seen too many clients with this cold damp syndrome. it is unfortunately why too much ice cream is also not a good idea.

Stomach fire is what you need to cook raw food in your stomach. Raw…[Read more]

Agree with Pietro that fat is very crucial. Barry Sears has written extensively on this – essentially our brain is made of fat/oil and runs on oil. he is a lipids scientist, and recommends oil from small fish of the type he thinks the human brain evolved on – with lots of omega 3. He sells a concentrated form of it very different from health food…[Read more]

    Danny,
I would love it if everyone naturally embodied the Tao and lived effortlessly. I would drop this website and all my products in a minute if that were the case.

But your perception is historically inaccurate and reflects your own lack of groundedness in this reality. You have a partly fairy tale concept of Tao as somehow divorced…[Read more]

    Michael,
I appreciate your wanting clarity on this issue, as i feel it is important.

Part of the problem comes from listening to tapes – I do not record all qigong processes to keep recording time down to the parts with verbal guidance. I try to get people into a qigong state of flow BEFORE having them do what would otherwise be empty…[Read more]

Food is post natal chi, and can have a big effect on some people’s practice, others it is minimal. Its not what you eat, its what you digest. And each person is unique, why I don’t emphasize it. If you get in tune with your five shen, they will guide the five tastes, and you will get what you need.

    don’t follow someone else’s rules. Danny-Satan…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic visualization and energy flow in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago

I personally asked Chang if he had ever gone deep into meditation, and he said he didn’t believe it was necessary. Just balance everything else out, and all would be taken care of. It’s just a different path than alchemy.

As for “speed of electricity” and light vs. human consciousness, Chang has it all backward. Human consciousness is FASTER…[Read more]
