Composed in a blessed union of insight and means,
Slowly send down, retain and draw back up the bodhichitta,
And conducting it to the source, saturate the entire body.
But only if lust and attachment are absent will that awareness arise.Max,
sounds like he used a technique. -

Michael Winn replied to the topic Hagar/Rainbowbear discussion in the forum General 20 years, 2 months ago
Hagar’s comments are truly excellent about the nature of shen transmission.
But I don’t think it really addresses Rainbow’s claims of her teacher’s irresponsibility and manipulation. There are unfortunately an abundance of “qigong masters” taking advantage of the naivete of westerners – and of chinese as well. That is one reason so many chinese…[Read more]

I have been away from the net for ten days, and am delighted to return and find a new level of male-female balance and honest communication on this board. Its very heartening and exactly what I hoped this forum would become.
Wendy and Rainbowbear, please invite your sisters to join in this process.
My own theory, for those who have taken my…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic To Michael: Fusing the Five Vapors & Ocean Breathing in the forum Practice 20 years, 2 months ago
Your question is not very clear as to which qigong form Five Vapors is from.
In any case, the qi moves by the body leading it, not by your mind, so you need to observe it, not control it by knowing. The effects are also best obseved, not predicted and described.

Michael Winn replied to the topic My trip to the urologist… in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago
Your approach using core channel energetics is usually a solid way to approach injury analysis.
How much weight were you lifting when you strained yourself?
My own personal advice about this practice is to use minimal weight, 2 lbs for training and never over 5 lbs.
Use it as an isometric aid, not much different than pulling with your…[Read more] -

Michael Winn replied to the topic Knee Switches: The Keystone of (Lower) Body Flows in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago
Be careful about excessively low postures – they can strain your heart.
Juan Li told me of a teacher inthe SF area famous for his long, low postures who suddenly keeled over from a heart attack.also, westerners have a longer leg structure than many asians and should not try to imitate them. Find what is realistic and comfortable for you.

Whole Body Enlightenment adds the experience that there is only one body.
That the body of others and of Nature is also your body. This is the realization of original jing and its integration with original chi and original shen into a MANIFEST trinity-in-one.In short, that the original primordial trinity of jing-chi-shen is still in the…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic Seated Nei kung vs Standing Chi Kung in the forum General 20 years, 3 months ago
The movement forms are either designed to open a channel without using head “visualizations” or to prevent stagnant jing which eventually happens from sitting too much. They are not designed to replace sitting medition, but to balance it. Its ultimately the balance between post natal and pre natal chi.
I cannot tell you how many zen…[Read more]
