    I find this laughable.
It’s not a need for “community”.
There are plenty of secular (even non-spiritual) community activities one can get involved with, which involve fun and interaction with others.

This is nothing more than a “religion patch” [nicotine patch] for those who decided to quit “believing in God” [smoking], but can’t actually…[Read more]

No, they are really pretty different.

DHQ is a qigong form for self-healing with various components of alchemy built into the form (added by Michael) to deepen the level of self-healing.

Either the Six Directions form or the Buddha Palm form found in M. Chia’s Cosmic Healing curriculum are mainly designed to flood the Eight Extraordinary…[Read more]

Whether one is doing CNT on oneself, receiving CNT from a CNT practitioner, or doing other forms of abdominal self-massage, these are also very beneficial for releasing tension in the abdominal area. I neglected to mention this earlier. Thx . . . S

For the most part, it depends on how bent your knees are.

In particular, in a lot of Yiquan standing meditation traditions, they have you put your weight on your heels. Examples of this are the QF4 Yiquan “standing-in-stillness” postures that Michael covers, and also the Yiquan standing set that I teach in my courses. However, in either case,…[Read more]

When I hear someone say “relaxed belly”, I think about the muscular tension of holding and the emotional holding of anxiety / tightness in the abdominal area. This was my previous comment about Ocean Breathing and Deep Earth Pulsing being the best tools.

I don’t know what you mean by “relax the belly”.
If by “relax the belly”, you mean strengthen the fascial support between the organs and cushion them, then the answer is YES.
If by “relax the belly”, you mean remove muscular tension and the emotional holding of anxiety, I would say NO. (at least not directly).

You don’t work with the pearl…[Read more]

    >>>which postures are better for developing a relaxed belly?
    >>>-http://forum.healingdao.com/practice/message/23767/

The question here had to do with standing practice, and this is not really the right avenue for “developing a relaxed belly”. So asking which one (QF4 standing, or Iron Shirt standing) is better is kind of like asking “if…[Read more]

Dantian qigong is simply qi packing.
Squeezing in from all sides: up from perineum, and down from above.
Similar to connecting a bicycle pump to a tire, and pumping against an “already full tire” . . . except that rather than pumping in air with pressure (which would be uncomfortable, and lead to antacids or gas relievers), you are pumping in…[Read more]

The depth to which you can go, and the amount that can be revealed, is unlimited. It is through time and practice and familiarity with the form that the form will reveal more about itself to you through your devotion to it.

P.S. Some of the deeper secrets I’ll keep to myself, but let me soft-serve you one that is not as hidden. Reread my…[Read more]

Outside of the unique amplification during practice, the heart is particularly good at being able to handle excess qi. So it should not cause you any problems whatsoever, and there is no cause for alarm. The body has a natural intelligence about what it needs, so if it goes there on its own, it’s probably fine.

That said, if it feels…[Read more]

Upper Dantian is the head space.
Middle Dantian is the heart space.
Lower Dantian is the navel space.

“The” Dantian is the same as the Lower Dantian. No difference.

The exact external correspondence for “the dantian” can be 1.5 inches below the navel as you describe–or even 2-3 inches below–but it is also said to vary from person to…[Read more]

Yes, you do want to continue doing the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Microcosmic Orbit etc., they are all Fundamental important practices that never grow old. Even getting to the point of doing Kan & Li, the basic practices are still vital and beneficial. That said, once you have gotten to the point…[Read more]
